Freeport Rural Ambulance serves an area encompassing 75 square miles outside the City of Freeport Fire Department’s jurisdiction.
Freeport Rural Ambulance provides professional Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for pre-hospital care. Our dedicated team of trained volunteers includes paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and emergency first responders. We are staffed and ready to respond on call 24 hours per day – 7 days per week.
Our volunteers like giving back to the community and like being there in times of a neighbor’s emergency. We stress volunteer training and education and educating the public about home safety precautions and what we do to help them with our community services.
We want more dedicated, caring volunteers in the Freeport area community to join our team. Openings are available to drive, for emergency medical technicians and for paramedics. Use our website online application form, or call Butch Broughton, weekdays 9-5 at 815-233-4437.
Or, stop by the station, 903 W. Lincoln St, in Freeport at 10 a.m. Sunday mornings.
